Cody Deckard joined Martindale Consultants in 2012 and currently serves as Audit Manager. With more than thirteen years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, Cody specializes in joint interest accounting and auditing, vendor risk management, COPAS accounting procedures, and contract compliance across both domestic and international operations.
Cody earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from University of Central Oklahoma. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Cody has extensive experience performing and managing complex audits involving deepwater drilling operations, international Production Sharing Contracts, and large unconventional shale projects. He has also led lease operating expense audits and vendor compliance reviews under a broad range of contractual structures.
As Audit Manager, Cody oversees client engagements with a focus on joint interest audits, vendor audits, consulting projects, and audit resolution. He is responsible for audit quality control, project management, client communication, and the training and development of Martindale staff.
Cody has served in several leadership roles within the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, including Chair of the COPAS CEPS Committee – Oklahoma City from 2020–2024 and Chair of the COPAS Vehicles Subcommittee from 2021–2023. He also currently serves as an officer on the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Board.
